The Brookhaven Chamber of Commerce and several local businesses are hosting the 3rd Annual Girl’s Night Out. Tickets for the event can be purchased at the Chamber of Commerce in downtown, and ticket-holders will receive a t-shirt, meal voucher, shopping guide, and a chance to win over 50 different prizes! This would be a perfect opportunity to get together a group of your favorite gals to enjoy a great shopping experience before heading to the Inn on Whitworth for a relaxing evening and a chance to catch up! Retail Therapy – relax before you shop!
We are excited to announce that Jennifer Misner, a certified massage therapist, will be at the Inn on Whitworth on Friday, April 5, between 4 – 6 pm to give a little “retail therapy” in preparation for Brookhaven’s Spring Fling shopping event (click on this link to find out more about which shops will be participating: http://brookhavenchamber.org/wp/events/spring-fling-2013/)! She will be setting up a massage chair in our lobby, and will be available for 10 minute massages at $1/minute. No appointment needed. Our Innkeeper, Sallie Williford, will also be offering snack and drinks to those that drop by for one of Jennifer’s relaxing massages, and she will be available for tours of the Inn for those of you who have not seen the great addition to downtown Brookhaven! - Well, the sun is shining, flowers are blooming, and the weather is slowly warming – its Spring! What a great time to get out with your family and friends and celebrate what makes Brookhaven special – besides our camellias. On Saturday, April 6th, from 10 am – 5 pm, local businesses will be opening their doors for the 3rd Annual Spring Fling Open House. From historic downtown to the Boulevard and beyond, you can expect to find discounts and in-store specials from your favorite home-grown shopping destinations. Mississippi Gran Prix 2013
We are excited about what is going on in Brookhaven! The 11th annual Mississippi Gran Prix Stage Race will be happening on April 12th, 13th, and 14th. It’s always fun to see cyclists galore, pedaling their way through Brookhaven for the different stages and events. The Inn on Whitworth is in a prime location to enjoy the action, with Friday’s criterium passing right in front of the building. We hope that you will come out to watch or participate in the events! Brookhaven’s Farmers Market
Today marks the first day of the Downtown Brookhaven Farmers Market. Located across from the Inn on Whitworth in Railroad Park, every Friday during Spring and Summer months local farmers set up tents and tables to showcase beautiful fruits, veggies, jams/jellies, baked goods, and other things you might not expect.
So, as you enjoy your stay out our beautiful inn, take a minute to browse through the stalls, pick up some fruit for a straight-from-the-farm breakfast, and buy a little extra to take home with you, a tasty remembrance of your stay in Brookhaven.
